Cut Glass Decanter with Silver Collar. A vintage lead crystal cut glass decanter with a diamond pattern.
It is fitted with a hollow blown facet cut cut stopper and is substantially heavy. The silver collar has a Birmingham hallmark for 1978 and was made by Cornelius J Vander.This style of decanter is most commonly used for whisky and spirits along with other stronger drinks. Very good for period, the odd slight nibble and little indent to the silver. Height: 26.5 cm (10 3/8 inch) with stopper fitted. Width: 9.7 cm (3 7/8 inch). Weight: 2020 grams (before packing).
