This is a magnificent, domed, lead crystal cake plate. It is from Shannon by Godinger. It is called Olympia Crystal Domed Cake Plate. It is no longer being produced.

It was photographed it in the afternoon sunshine to show how it sparkles. However, it sparkles in every light. Tall, elegant pedestal cake platter with domed top. Crafted of heavy, brilliant lead cut crystal. Dramatic high dome shows linear spoke cuts that catch and bend light.

Cake plate features scalloped, raised rim; multifaceted base. This would make an excellent gift that must be washed by hand. The cake plate inside measurement is 11.

It is blown glass, no seams, and has a beautiful scalloped edge on the plate which is sitting on a graceful pedestal. The total height when the entire dome from the table to the top diamond-shaped handle is 16 1/2"to 17" It is heavy, but it is grand! It was made in Poland. It will be double packed (a box in another box) and insured.
