This is a really great example of Clark's Mercedes pattern on a rose vase. It is 6 1/2" high x 6 1/2" diameter (widest point) rose vase.
Pattern is described and illustrated in the first ACGA Clark re-print catalog on page 34. I have included pictures of this page. Too early to be signed.
Vase is a bright crystal clear and has excellent light refracting properties! This piece is of Clark's highest quality and cutting is deep sharp and precise.Polishing appears to be early wood wheel. Nice heavy vase, for size, weighing just under 4 lb. Base has a fantastic 24 point hobstar on the bottom. This piece does have some pattern dings and flecks in the pattern. Base has appropriate shelf wear on bottom.
Much, Much nicer in person and much better than my amateur photography shows! If you have any questions or need additional pictures; please ask and I'll try to take and/ or answer if I can. Side note: although this vase has some dings and flecks in the pattern; it is a great example of this early pattern and does not detract from its appearance at all. I indicate, where its coming from, as either re-sale or collection. Quality of items will range from above average to outstanding.
