Collection: This is a nice example of Pitkin and Brooks "Canadian Thistle" pattern on a pair of claret wines. These clarets have a nice solid translucent green bowl and clear hollow petticoat stem and ray base. This claret and pattern is illustrated (black & white) in the 2005 ACGA, Pitkin and Brooks, re-print catalog on page 1897-4. I have included pictures of this page in this listing.Size is 4 3/4" high x 2 1/2" diameter (widest part of bowl). The glass is of high quality and cutting is sharp and precise. Weight is a bit over 4 oz each.
Base is ray cut and has appropriate shelf wear on bottom. Much nicer in person and much better than my amateur photography shows! If you have any questions or need additional pictures; please ask and I'll try to take and/ or answer if I can.Side note: Very affordable color claret wine by a known maker and pattern. I indicate, where its coming from, as either re-sale or collection. Quality of items will range from above average to outstanding. Most items will be American brilliant with some brilliant period European color as well.
I will give as much "known" detail about an item as I can. This will include maker, pattern, quality, any defects and/ or damage. I can no longer afford to absorb this cost. I want your item to arrive in the same condition as it left. Finally, I will describe items with as much detail and accuracy as possible, but there is a small chance I may miss something minor.
